Dr. Emma

Dr. Emma’s love for dentistry began in middle school, when she completed a weeklong internship with her family’s dentist in the Thousand Islands, where she grew up. That experience sparked an interest that continued throughout high school, when she returned each summer to work in the office and gain hands-on experience in the dental field.

She went on to study Dental Hygiene in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. After graduating, she worked as a dental hygienist in Canada for one year. She then completed the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination and New York State licensing requirements, allowing her to continue her career as a dental hygienist in the United States. She was proud to be part of the Salvatore Dental team as a dental hygienist from 2015 through 2020.

Wanting to further her education and expand the care she could provide to her patients, Dr. Emma completed her bachelors degree at the State University of New York at Albany and then attended NYU College of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Following dental school, she completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, New York.

Dr. Emma’s goal is to make every patient feel comfortable, heard, and at ease. She understands that visiting the dentist can be intimidating for many people and she makes it a priority to take a gentle, patient-centered approach to every visit. She strives to create an environment where patients feel confident in their care and comfortable asking questions.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Emma is a wife to her husband, Michael, and a mother to their two children, Cavanagh and Whitney (as well as their German Shepard, Ned). Much of her free time is spent at the Saratoga Springs Ice Rink cheering on Cavanagh as he plays hockey! She also enjoys riding her Peloton in the early morning and traveling with her family.
